The day trip will take place on Sunday, July 30. It is necessary to reserve as soon as possible and payment is required by May 31. The cost for bus, ferry, and tour is $115 for adults and $90 for children (6 -12 yrs.) A picnic lunch is suggested. The bus from Richmond leaves at 7 AM and returns in the evening after a stop for supper. For further information and reservations, contact 819-826-3929 or
For those who have never visited Grosse Isle situated in the St. Lawrence River below Quebec City, this is a most interesting trip. Grosse Isle is where all the Irish Immigrants back in the 1840 s landed and were detained for some time due to sickness from the long boat voyage over. Many passed away there and are buried on the island. Many of the buildings are as they were during that period. A short motorized tour of the island is available.
